One of the more amusing things about losing my "young turk" status in the art scene is the growing illusion that I not only know what I'm doing, but that I'm actually equipped to inflict such arcane knowledge onto others.

To further this insane notion, one of my clients recently asked if I'd be willing to teach her young artist-prodigy daughter a few things about basic metalworking, fabrication and generally how one goes about spending productive time in a jewelry studio without setting yourself on fire.

Unable to resist an opportunity to warp young minds, I'll be spending part of the next few weeks in the role of Official Jewelry Edjamacator of Diminutive Persons.
