Pen15 was an exercise in finding out just how irreverent you can be and still manage to get away with it. The irony was that the local band's bad-boy reputation was almost completely fabricated.

Their infamous "graffiti incident" photo was actually staged. The band had permission to vandalize the back of their recording studio, on the condition that they repaint it after the photo shoot.
The website's design inspiration was the glossy look of a 50's diner.
