Emily was originally entitled Aphrodite, and was intended as an homage to classic movie starlets and other gorgeous women of fiction and fact. The original title stuck until the seven-year-old daughter of a friend got a hold of an early print of the line art for the piece and applied her own creativity.
I was deeply amused by the result, and entered into negotiations with the young artist for her "remix" of my work. In exchange for a re-titiling of the original in her honor, she allowed me to add her revised edition to my personal collection.
