a picture called moldavite pendant should be here...

moldavite pendant

One of our models, Carolyn Sykes, brought us this stone and said, "Make something pretty for me."

Considering the number of times she'd been pretty for us, we figured it was time to return the favor.

The big technical challenge on this project was the fact that moldavite is incredibly fragile. It's essentially a piece of naturally-occurring pourous glass, so traditional setting techniques would destroy it. We crafted this basket-style setting out of wire, which has a single, looped prong on the back to secure the stone.

Unique, Sold.
